Technical meeting with the external consultants for Projects's Objective 3

A technical meeting with the external consultants Miguel Machete (General manager of POPA)  and Rui Prieto (Cetacean Group) of DOP Azores (IMAR) occurred in the Madeira Whale Museum auditorium on 10th February 2010. Present from the Madeira Whale Museum were the project technical staff Cátia Nicolau, Filipe Alves, Cláudia Ribeiro and Luís Freitas. This meeting brought a valuable input and made an important step forward in the planning of the Projects's Objective, 3 since their great experience, resulting from being ahead of the Azorean fisheries observer program (POPA) running from 1998, allowed to discuss general methodologies as well as specific details of the field protocol to be followed onboard the tuna fishing boats.
